ALL GRANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

• THE RECIPIENT MAY NOT KEEP ANY OF THE FUNDS FOR HIS OR HER PERSONAL USE.
• ALL FUNDS MUST BE SPENT ON THE APPROVED COMMUNITY PROJECT.
• THE PROJECT MUST BENEFIT A NUMBER OF PEOPLE, NOT JUST ONE INDIVIDUAL.
• THE PROJECT MUST HAVE SIGNIFICANT LONG TERM BENEFITS.

All grant requests will be reviewed by Ms. Jones, in consultation with her advisors. To be considered, all applications must be completed in full. We will try to review all requests within a month of receipt and will try to notify applicants who are being considered within six weeks of receipt. Applicants whose grant requests are being considered will then be invited to submit additional information. Ms. Jones will approve grants in her sole and absolute discretion.

If we believe that a request should go forward, we will contact the applicant for additional information. The full proposal should provide detailed information about the community need and proposed plan. It should also include a detailed project budget and other information which may be requested by Ms. Jones (including but not limited to photographs, references and community information).

Each grant awarded is an investment in your community, and we take seriously the responsibility to ensure that all grant programs are successful. If you are awarded a grant, we will send you a confirmation e-mail which sets forth certain of the grant's terms and conditions.

Throughout the grant term, we will communicate regularly with you regarding the project’s progress. Measurable outcomes and timelines are agreed upon prior to the awarding of every grant. Depending on the type of project and its term, we may require interim reports or other kinds of ongoing communication. Some grants include more in-depth evaluation, which is coordinated in conjunction with you.

With all grant projects, our goal is to motivate others and improve their community. After the funds have been distributed, you agree to make every reasonable effort to document the progress of the project, including but not limited to the use of digital photos, videotapes, interviews and written narratives, which you acknowledge will be published on www.jennyjones.com and/or www.jennysheroes.com.

This program is intended for participation by legal citizens of the United States only (including Washington D.C.) who are 18 years of age or older.

Complete the electronic application form describing the charitable project for which you would like to use the money. All applications become our property and will not be returned. All grant recipients must meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these rules in order to qualify for the grant.

All applications must be submitted according to these Official Rules.

By submitting your application, you affirm, represent and warrant that all the information contained therein is truthful.

By submitting your application, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform their applications on our websites in connection with this program. You further grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform their applications in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and Internet), for all legitimate business purposes. DO NOT SUBMIT ANY MATERIALS YOU CONSIDER CONFIDENTIAL. All information and applications submitted to us shall become our property to be used for our internal purposes. Information submitted by applicants may be shared with third-parties engaged to assist Ms. Jones with the selection process for these awards.

By submitting your application, you are authorizing us to do a background investigation on you (including but not limited to your motor vehicle record, criminal record, education history, credit record and employment history).

As a condition of being awarded a grant, you agree to sign a liability and publicity release, and consent to our use of your name, photograph and/or likeness, voice, and statements made by or attributed to you, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and Internet), for all legitimate business purposes including advertising and promotional activities without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

By submitting an application and agreeing to participate in this program, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Jenny Jones and The Jenny Jones Foundation, and each of their employees, officers, directors, owners, agents, information providers and licensors, to the fullest extent lawful, from and against all loss, liability, claim, damage, cost, judgment, penalty and expense (including attorneys' fees), promptly as incurred, directly or indirectly based upon, or arising out of or in connection with 1) the awarding, acceptance, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any funds awarded herein; or 2) participation in the program or any grant related activities. Upon delivery of the funds to you, we will be deemed to have awarded the grant to you with you assuming full responsibility for the grant.

Under no circumstances, including but not limited to negligence, will we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages directly or indirectly resulting from the grant, and you further waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of you and us in connection with this program, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California, without regards to California conflict of law principles.

Nothing herein represents a commitment by us to make any grants to any person participating in, responding to, or submitting subsequent information in response to this invitation to apply for a grant. By submitting an application or information, each applicant shall be deemed to have acknowledged that we have no obligation to make any grant and have no liability to any applicant or other person or entity should we determine not to proceed with this process or to make any grants.

We fully reserve the right to terminate, alter or suspend this process at any time.
